There are certain places that seem to know a story before it has fully begun.
For Alex and Patrick, that place is a hilltop lookout at UConn, where they went on their first date and where, years later, they returned to celebrate the life they’re building together.
On a mellow summer evening, the light settled beautifully across the hilltop. The sky slipped through so many golden shades, the air was warm, and the two of them moved through the evening with the kind of ease that comes from knowing one another for a long time.
What made the evening especially memorable was how effortlessly we connected with them. Between the quiet moments were plenty of laughs, the kind that make photographing a couple feel less like a session and more like spending an evening with old friends.
Returning to the place where it all began felt fitting. But even more exciting is knowing this is only one chapter of their story.
We can’t wait to see Alex and Patrick step into the next one when they say I do next year.
